Here are some places that are safe to walk outdoors:
-A nice park
-A beach

-A city street
You just have to be careful, of course, but you should not have any problem with the terrain. Find some grassy areas or something that is safe to walk on. Do not go on concrete or anything, as you will likely get hurt.
Now that you have chosen some place to walk, you need to be prepared for the walk. You need to be able to walk briskly for 30 minutes or so. There is no need to walk extremely fast. Just walk as fast as you feel comfortable.
After you are finished with your walk, you need to cool down. To do this, just walk as slowly as you can for about 5 minutes. You will find that the cool down will help you to slow down and you will feel much better. The walk and the cool down will help you to fully cool down.
You should really take your time and walk slowly, it will help you get the maximum effect of your exercise. However, you do not need to walk slowly to have the maximum effect. Just get the maximum effect through walking slowly.
